Hi there! My name is Dave Yi. I'm a videographer, filmmaker, editor, animator, and photographer living in Los Angeles.

I was born in Germany, moved (in order) to France, Kansas, Boston, and finally to Vermont as a teen before graduating from high school and attending Hamilton College where I majored in Creative Writing and minored in Economics. I've always anchored myself with cartoons, TV shows, and movies to keep me grounded as a tool for comfort.

Now that I'm an adult, my original childhood dream of becoming a cartoonist and my love for entertainment has blossomed into a love of storytelling, animating, and filmmaking. I moved to Los Angeles in 2024 with hopes of entering the entertainment industry and meeting other like-minded creatives.

 

I currently work as a Post Production Assistant at Wolf Entertainment, which produces shows like Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, Chicago Med/Fire/PD, and more. I'm also very involved with producing various podcasts; I help to edit social clips for podcasts like Beautiful Boys with Mike Cannon and Andy Haynes, Sagdaddy Da Pod with Brendan Sagalow, and I'm also assisting to produce some podcasts for various LA comedians (coming soon)!

I love creating and shooting content that is visually interesting, tells a compelling story, and hopefully lighthearted while still carrying a meaningful message. I'm always looking to shoot projects with people who are passionate about creating cool stuff - please feel free to reach out for any opportunities to collaborate or connect!
